Bags…bags…do we have knitting bags…

1 multiI’m not sure what got me started on this, but I’ve been obsessing lately on the perfect knitting bag. Of course, I’ve yet to find it, but there sure are some neat bags out there. I’ve listed more than 15 purveyers of knitting bags. How? Well, I polled some buddies on Twitter, and I came up with an array of knitting bags. Some are Big Bucks, other modestly priced. Some have gotten raves from friends, others I know little about, but all are interesting in a variety of ways.

Couple things—This is merely a listing, an assortment, a whatever, not a review. All comments are mine, and no company or person has paid me to do this, nor given me a bag to be listed. I just thought it would be fun.

(Photos of bags mentioned at bottom of post.)

BTW – If you’d like me to add a bag or comment on a bag, just use the comments spot on my blog or Tweet me at @knittingnews.

  • Beautiful bags.. I’m a knitter and a felter myself, and I always prefer to use one of my own bags to carry my work in progress. Great advertising too, for those of us marketing our bags!

  • I’m such a fan of Namaste. I have my first bag and I use it as my everyday bag now. I collect bags, so that’s really saying alot. The softness of the faux leather is the huge plus.
My first real knitting bag was a large Shibui tote in black. I still love that bag too. because it’s rectangular, there’s place for magazines, etc.

I’ve got a Namaste bag, and I love it. Like I said in the post, I’m always looking for the perfect bag. What’s perfect? Now, that’s a good question. Thanks for commenting. Love what you said about Shibui, too.

  • Thanks for doing the round up of knitting bags Vicki. It’s great to have them listed in one place for easy comparison. I haven’t invested in one of these specially designed bags yet, I seem to just use random tote bags and a lot of Ziplocs.

Glad you enjoyed the bag round up. Nothing wrong with random totes if they work for you! I’ve got some fun ones, in fact. (Ziplocs are great, too.)

  • You forgot ohiovalleybags.com. She’s got some beautiful bags ~ all made by hand! Check ‘em out!
